Diagonal is the yard is viewed on longer axis, illusion of more space, depth, drawing eye

Circular takes on a journey, alternate views of key features

Side Paths

Less intrusive and subtly incorporated

Practical and ornamental 

Occasional access 

Lead off main path on journey to a concealed corner

Cut through large areas

Can use softer, organic materials for pathway

Secret path leading to concealed area
